So I went home and set up my guitar in the bedroom. Facing the wall near the corner was the most out-of-the-way place. I began to play and wondered what song God would like to hear. It wasn't long before I knew I couldn't play my crowd pleasing songs for the Maker of the world. I had to play something from my heart, and it had to be true.
It was hard to play for more than an hour for the first week, but after a month I found I was often lost for a few hours at a time. Six months later I began to see the shadows on the wall dancing as I played and sang. I began to sense his presence, and I found a greater reward than I had ever known in the world or in the church.
After one year I said," I don't ever want to leave this place. This is where I've always longed to be and never knew it before." I thanked the Lord and asked if I could just praise him here from now on. He said, "I want you to take this to the church, and one day to the world." I felt that I couldn't leave the comfort of the wall, but he showed me that if I stayed there I would lose the desire to be corporate. Still, I refused to leave until He removed His presence.
With all the experiences I've had and the teachings I've made notes about, one thing remains the most active tool for learning to praise God: being alone with Him. I think anyone who wants to know his pleasure more than the complements or criticisms of man; will need to face their own wall, until the shadows began to dance as you praise.

Patience Has Prevailed

WELL HERE I AM AT THE APPOINTED DESTINATION.
